I am an honours student at Southern Cross University, based in Canada. My research at present is investigating the influence of porewater exchange on CO2 uptake and production in the Squamish central estuary, which is a unique tidal marsh system. A radon and CO2 time series was conducted over multiple tidal cycles to evaluate carbon dynamics and construct a mass balance. This study is the first of its kind in the temperate region of Howe Sound fjord, British Columbia, and holds many future research opportunities.
