David Ho visit

August 2016 Author Damien Maher

Professor David Ho from the University of Hawaii recently visited the barefoot group to discuss future collaborations, and to check out some Australian field sites. David is a world leading expert in air-water gas exchange, and uses gold-standard techniques to quantify rates and drivers of gas exchange from inland, estuarine and open ocean systems. David and members of the barefoot biogeochemistry group are already collaborating on a large project on carbon cycling in the Everglades National Park in Florida. It wasn't all work and no play,  David also had the opportunity to meet some of the local wildlife, and check out some of the iconic local sites.
