MANGROVES

Mangroves are among the most carbon-rich ecosystems on earth, and play a key role as fisheries habitat and provide storm protection. Mangroves also act as a natural filter for materials exported between the land and the ocean. Our team is using state of the art methods to investigate carbon sequestration, greenhouse gas dynamics, nutrients, trace metal and carbon cycling in mangroves across the world.
