GAS FIELDS
There is a massive expansion of unconventional gas extraction across the world; however it is unclear what the environmental impacts of this development are. We are undertaking research on the emissions of methane, the impacts on groundwater, and changes in groundwater-surface water interaction that may be occurring due to unconventional gas development. We are also undertaking extensive baseline groundwater, atmospheric and surface water investigations in areas flagged for unconventional gas development.
