CORAL REEFS

Coral reefs are iconic habitats, and are the focus of much biological research. However key aspects of coral biogeochemistry are still unknown, and how these delicate ecosystems will respond to climate change remains unresolved. The Barefoot Biogeochemistry team is currently working on coral reef calcification/dissolution, porewater advection influences as well as the development of autonomous high precision measurement techniques for measuring coral reef biogeochemistry in the field.
